About

Summer Connolly is a pen name.  In real life, I’m a stay at home mom of four kids five and under.  I love chai tea lattes, bed time and being at home with my children.  I hate finger paints and play dough, whining and cold weather.

I wrote the outline of UNION PACIFIC as a screen play on a bus traveling around New Zealand in 2004.  The first draft of the novel crawled painfully to life between nursing my fourth child and shuttling my other three to preschool in 2009.  It then sat, untouched, for a year as I struggled to find time for the editing process.  Throughout 2010, I maintained my personal blog and continued to make time for and love writing there. So, I thought, why not?  Why not blog UNION PACIFIC and see if I can tease that elusive second draft into being with a little help from my friends.

If you just can’t get enough of me, I blog about my life with a toddler herd, adoption, transracial parenting, the Great Dane that is the bane of my existence and other issue big and small at www.anymommyoutthere.com.
